Is Cochlear Surgery Safe?
Yes. Cochlear implant surgery is a well-established procedure performed under general anaesthesia at Max Smart Saket, Max Dwarka, and Sankalp ENT & Cochlear Implant Centre. Dr. Sumit Mrig has completed 750+ successful surgeries with careful pre-operative assessment, sterile surgical protocols, and structured follow-up through activation and rehabilitation.
Recovery Time?
Most patients go home within 1-2 days. The surgical site typically heals in about two weeks. Device activation happens around 3-4 weeks after surgery, followed by auditory-verbal therapy at Sankalp's centre in Dwarka, part of the long-term support journey outlined on this page from consultation through lifelong care.
